| How long will it take for my account to
be activated after ordering a hosting plan? |
|
Accounts are usually activated within 1-3 hours. Once activated, you will
receive an email with all the necessary information to begin using
and managing your site. If you registered a new domain or are transferring
an existing domain, your account will still be accessible by the link we
provided, even though the domain has not yet propagated throughout the
Internet. Domain propagation usually takes 24-48 hours to fully complete.
If you are transferring your site from another web host and wish to
minimize your site's down-time, you should leave your old account active
until your domain name is pointing to your new DHC account. If you
order your account during the after-hours, it will still usually be
activated within only a few hours. |

| Are you an established hosting company
or do you resell another hosting company's services? |
|
We manage and maintain our own web hosting infrastructure and we
are not a reseller. Our primary hosting facility is based in Dallas, but we
also have infrastructure located in Houston - including remote
backup services and remote network monitoring. See our
infrastructure page for more information about our
facilities. Level (3) Communications is one of our main
network providers, which means your site is being hosted over
one of most reliable and largest fiber optic networks in the
world. The primary data center facility we use is at
the most IP centric location on the Internet - Dallas, Texas. |

We are so confident that we will provide you with a quality service,
that we offer a full 30-day money back guarantee for any
shared hosting account. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with
your shared hosting account, we will refund your monthly charges less any
overages or setup fees. This agreement does not apply to dedicated hosting
offers. The refund is subject to having followed all of DHC's terms and
agreements.

| If I have an issue with my site will
someone always be there to help me? |

Our email support is 24 hours and there is a toll-free support
line you can call as well. We respond to most issues by
email on an average of less than 30 minutes and rarely longer than 60
minutes. In many cases we will respond almost instantly. We have support
people ready to assist you at any time of the day or night. In the
rare event you have a major issue with your site, you can generate a
trouble ticket with a high priority and someone will respond almost
immediately. |

| What happens if I exceed my plan limits,
such as my monthly bandwidth limit? |
| You will be given warnings by email
before your plan exceeds any limits. You will then have the option of upgrading
to the next plan or simply continuing on and being charged a reasonable fee
for any overages. You always have the option to downgrade or
upgrade your plan at any time. Our fees for overages are listed on the right
side of each page containing plan listings, such as listed on the right side of
the shared hosting plans page
under "Account Extras". |

| Do
you offer reseller plans? |
| We currently do not offer any
reseller plans. If you are thinking of starting your own hosting
business, one option is to look into our fully managed dedicated
server plans. Our dedicated plans allow you complete control and root
access to yor server through Microsoft Terminal Services. We have 24/7
networking and hardware support and even give you free reboots.
We can even install all the necessary software allowing you to be up
and running quickly and reliably. |

| Why should I host with DHC when there
are other hosting companies I could choose from? |
| The simple answer is support response times,
quality of service, bandwidth speed, price, and our premium facilities.
We keep our servers leaner and faster per plan cost
than any other hosting company we know of. Some hosting
companies will put too many web sites on a single server resulting in
slower web site access. For instance, some hosts will place over 400
sites on a single server, which means at times your site would be extremely
slow. We make sure that our servers are always highly responsive. |

| Do you allow the hosting
of pornographic material? |
| We do not allow this type of
material on our servers because of the heavy load it places
on our email servers from spamming, and some of these types of
sites offer services that are misleading or not completely legitimate.
We maintain great pride in our hosting, and we want to make sure that all
our services, such as email, remain as reliable and responsive

| Do you have any special arrangements
with Microsoft for purchasing software? |
| Yes. We have a licensing
agreement with Microsoft that is specifically tailored to
our web hosting needs. We can upgrade or purchase new software at a much
lower cost than a normal business. This allows us to keep our
software licensing costs down and focus our expenenditures on infrastructure,
service, and support. We also have some special licensing arrangements with
other software companies. |

| Do you offer Cold Fusion, Cold
Fusion MX, or JSP hosting? |
| We do not currently offer these
technologies as a hosting option. |

| How do I know which
plan to choose and if a plan has enough monthly bandwidth? |
|
The Xpress Plan gives you 10 GB bandwidth per month which is more than
enough bandwidth for most web sites, but if you need additional features
such as ecommerce, MySQL, or MS SQL, you will want to choose one of
the higher plans such as the Xtreme Plan. In order for a site to need more
bandwidth than 10 GB per month, the web site would have to be
extremely active and be exceeding about 225,000 total page
views per month.

| If I decide to upgrade or downgrade my
plan at a later date, are there any additional setup fees? |
|
There are no fees for downgrading your plan, and in most cases there are
no fees for upgrading your plan either. However, if you
upgrade before you have been with us for 30-days, we will charge the
difference between the two setup fees. Also, if you upgrade
your plan more than 1 level at a time, the difference
between what your original setup fee was and the current plan's setup
fee will be charged. For instance, if you upgraded the Xpress
plan to the Platinum Plan, setup fees do apply because the Platinum Plan
has a much higher setup cost than the Xpress plan does. In otherwords,
only when you upgrade well beyond your current plan (2 levels or
more) or upgrade more than once within a 30-day period will we charge
additional setup fees. We charge the setup fees because we have
to spend time to reconfigure your site to work within the rules of
the new plan. |
